Spyshots: 2018 Ford Focus Testing In Snow
Auto NewsThe next generation Ford Focus enters its advanced testing phase with European spy photographers capturing a test mule in action under snow.
The five-door hatchback tester wore heavy camo, but exposes its halogen reflector headlamps upfront and gives us glimpse to its large presumably trapezoidal grille that is the staple of current Ford design.
Less is exposed at the rear, but telling clues are nevertheless visible. The door shutline is all new, and we can see the rear quarter glass now incorporated into the rear door, thus giving the new car a completely different glass area from the current model.
The test car also uses fake disguise tail lights, but the pattern of deployment suggests more horizontal-shaped tail light cluster flowing into the rear tail gate.
As with the current model, the 2018 Focus is expected to be a global car by Ford. Anticipate an early-to-mid 2018 global debut.
