Spyshot: All-New Tenth Generation Honda Accord Seen In Thailand
Auto NewsThe all-new tenth generation Honda Accord has been caught in Thailand, more specifically in the Kaeng Khoi district where the company previously tested the fifth generation CR-V.
Despite the heavy camouflage, the prominent front fascia makes its evident that this pre-production car is the all-new Accord.
The new model was announced back in July 2017, before going on sale in October the same year. Built on the same platform as the Civic, the all-new Accord features two turbocharged powertrains, a 1.5-litre and a 2.0-litre. Honda also offers a hybrid powertrain for the Accord, featuring a two-motor 2.0-litre petrol-electric hybrid drivetrain.
According to Headlightmag, the all-new Accord is only expected to be launched in Thailand in early 2019, after the all-new Toyota Camry’s debut there later this year.
For us Malaysians however, the all-new model isn’t likely going to arrive until the end of next year. This is according to an investors’ newsletter published by RHB Research Institute, which keeps track of the performance of DRB-Hicom’s shares. The newsletter mentioned that Honda is not expected to introduce any new model in 2018.
