SPYSHOT: 2016 Mazda BT-50 Facelift Front-End Shown Undisguised

What you’re looking at here could very well be the 2016 Mazda BT-50 facelift with this sole frontal image making its way across various Thailand internet forums.

Based on the image, a new front fascia can be seen which adopts Mazda’s iconic KODO design language with chrome borders surrounding the single-bar grille which has a centrally mounted Mazda badge. Elsewhere, there appears to be redesigned headlights along with larger side mirror indicator signals.

Expect the cabin to receive an update as well, likely to include Mazda’s latest MZD Connect infotainment system seen on the Mazda 2, Mazda 3, and the recently released CX-5, all of which are available in Malaysia currently.

No details on the powertrain have been revealed as of yet but expect the 3.2-litre five-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine producing 200PS/470Nm sent through a six-speed automatic gearbox to be carried over along with the smaller capacity 2.2-litre units.
