Home News Auto News Special Edition Ford Ranger XLT Launched in Malaysia – Limited Units, RM120,888 Special Edition Ford Ranger XLT Launched in Malaysia – Limited Units, RM120,888 Auto News Gokul | December 18, 2019 12:56 pm Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole distributor for Ford in Malaysia, has unveiled the New Ford Ranger XLT 2.2L Special Edition exclusively for customers in Malaysia. Only limited units will be available for sale throughout the country. The New Ford Ranger XLT 2.2L Special Edition comes in Arctic White and Absolute Black and is fitted with fender flares, a rear view camera and a functional tonneau cover. To enhance its lifestyle offering, the in-truck infotainment system features an upgraded large nine-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that supports mobile applications such as Spotify, Waze, YouTube and Google Chrome, making travelling more enjoyable and convenient via hotspot connectivity. Trendy geometrical decals on each side complete the truck’s sporty and rugged looks. Priced at RM120,888 for Peninsular Malaysia and RM126,388 for Sabah and Sarawak (on-the-road, without insurance), the New Ford Ranger XLT 2.2L Special Edition is currently on display at all Ford showrooms in Peninsular Malaysia. For East Malaysia, the truck will make its first public appearance at showrooms during the third week of December. Equipped with Ford’s Duratorq 2.2L turbodiesel engine with a six-speed automatic transmission, the New Ford Ranger XLT 2.2L Special Edition is capable of delivering 160 PS and peak torque of 385Nm. The New Ford Ranger XLT 2.2L Special Edition also comes with a host of smart technologies and safety features, including 4X4 Shift-On-The-Fly, rain sensing wipers, the light and nimble Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS), daytime running lights and headlights for better visibility. Safety and driver assistance features include two airbags, e-locking rear differential, Hill Descent Control, Hill Launch Assist, Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) and Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), ISOFIX child seat mounts, Electronic Stability Control with Traction Control, Rollover Mitigation, Trailer Sway Control and Adaptive Load Control.
