Renault Teases R.S. 2027 Vision Concept Ahead of Shanghai Debut

Auto News

All set to make its global debut at the Auto Shanghai 2017 later this month, Renault released a teaser image of the R.S. 2027 Vision Concept earlier today.

From what we can see, the teaser image reveals absolutely nothing about the car’s technical directions, but details like Renault’s signature LED light as well as the front wing of the car can be seen.

The concept, which explores the brand’s vision of how Formula 1 might be in the future, also expresses Renault’s intention to be in the competition for the long-term.

The French carmaker also stated that it is eager to play a major role in shaping Formula 1’s evolution and to put drivers very much back at the heart of the sport.

That said, the R.S. 2027 Vision also probes areas in which new technologies might be carried over from motor racing to road vehicles for the benefit of customers, and vice-versa.

The R.S. 2027 Vision will be unveiled at Auto Shanghai 2017 on 19 April with Cyril Abiteboul, the managing director of Renault Sport Racing and four-time Formula 1 World Champion Alain Prost
