Prasarana Announces Eight-Month Road Closure For Persiaran Jengka, Subang Jaya

Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) has announced that a road closure will take place at Persiaran Jengka (on the SS17 side) and will implement the necessary traffic diversions. The road closure is for an eight-month period from 21 April until 31 December 2015.

The purpose of the road closure and traffic diversions are to facilitate the construction works for Station 5 of the Kelana Jaya LRT Line Extension Project.

The 300 metre northbound stretch of road at Persiaran Jengka, adjacent to Jalan SS17/2 will be fully closed during the above-mentioned period. Prasarna has listed alternative routes for motorists as follows:

Alternative Route 1 - Toward Subang Parade on Persiaran Jengka

Motorists coming from the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) heading towards Subang Parade will be diverted to Jalan SS17/2 and will re-enter Persiaran Jengka after Jalan SS17/2 J.

Alternative Route 2 – Toward New Pantai Expressway (NPE) on Jalan SS17/2

Motorists travelling on Jalan SS17/2 towards NPE will be diverted to Jalan SS17/2 L and will need to make a left turn into Jalan SS17/3, followed by another left turn into Jalan SS17/3 A. Motorists will re-enter Jalan SS17/2 to proceed to their intended destination.

The road closure is deemed necessary by Prasarana to ensure the safety of all motorists within the area as heavy machinery and lifting of materials are part of the construction works.

Road barriers and flagmen will be put in place to redirect traffic along with warning signals to alert motorists.
