Petronas Customers Can Now Redeem Mesra Points Using Setel App

Setel – Malaysia’s first e-payment solution for fuel payment directly from mobile devices, now allows Petronas customers to redeem Mesra points using the app itself.

The increased functionality on Setel is the next step in integrating aspects of the refuelling process onto a single platform to provide a new and convenient experience at Petronas stations.

To start redeeming Mesra points, customers must first link their Mesra card and activate it on Setel. And then, they can redeem RM1 for every 100 points, which will be credited directly to their Setel wallet balance and can be used to purchase fuel immediately.

In addition, customers also have the flexibility to choose the number of Mesra points they want to convert into credits for fuel redemption, anytime, anywhere.

Petronas customers, who are Mesra members, receive three points for every litre of fuel purchased, which is the highest conversion rates for fuel loyalty programmes in Malaysia. For example, a fuel purchase of 50 litres (RM2.08/litre) will give the user 150 Mesra points, which can be converted into RM1.50 worth of fuel.

Setel is available for free on iOS and Android via the Apple Store and Google Play Store. Currently, Setel can be used at 277 PETRONAS stations within the Klang Valley.
