Perodua Offers Cash Rebates To Owners Affected By Production Halts

Following the news that a sizeable number of Perodua owners will not be receiving their cars before the up and coming SST implementation, Perodua is prepared to offer rebates to 3,100 customers who are affected by the disparity between production and bookings. On the whole, Perodua has had a long waiting list for their products and the tax holiday that's coming to an end after Merdeka spurred consumers into a buying frenzy, exasperating the issue. On top of this, Perodua suffered production halts due to vendor issues just last week, slowing production down even further.

That being said, Perodua is still willing to honour these 3,100 customers who were promised delivery of their vehicles before the new tax scheme. Perodua authorized personnel will be contacting each owner personally to inform them of this rebate, and the rebates themselves will be given in the form of cash upon delivery of their car. Owners will also be notified on the progress of their vehicles and will be updated on expected delivery dates.
