One-Off MINI In Celebration Of Royal Wedding – To Be Auctioned For Charity
Auto NewsMINI will celebrate the upcoming royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with a one-off MINI hatch designed specifically to commemorate the occasion, and to be donated to one of the couple’s chosen charities.
After the wedding day on 19th May 2018, this exclusive MINI will be handed over to The Children’s HIV Association (CHIVA) for public auction.
This unique MINI is finished in Crystal White with silver-blue accent strips on the front hood and rear body panels. Elsewhere, the lower body trim that wraps around the car features a blue-tinted matt silver paint finish.
Other MINI hatch design features (normally in chrome), such as the frame for the hexagonal radiator grille, the door handles and the surrounds for the headlights and rear lights are topped off with a blue-black tinted clear coat. Along the flanks, this MINI is fitted dark-blue matt metallic wheel rims. Round the back, the rear lights feature Union Jack design graphics.
A major highlight is the roof graphics which uses multiple colours, applied meticulously by hand in several layers to bring together elements of both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s national flags. Elsewhere, the side scuttles around the side turn signal indicators have been 3D-printed to embellish the initials M and H, with a heart and rings.
To top it off, when the car is unlocked, it projects an exclusive “Just Married” welcome graphic onto the ground in front of the driver and passenger side doors.
On the inside, Satellite Grey leather upholstery is highlighted by a large trim strip on the dashboard which is embossed with the first names of the bride and groom, wedding date and good wishes.
Another special feature of the interior is an accent inspired by the roof graphic, which is integrated into the trim strips in the doors, behind the steering wheel and the head restraints.
