The engine also did not offer any tax-saving as it emitted CO2 levels of 174 g/km, above that target value of 150 g/km.The X-Trail Hybrid model is also powered by the same, pricier 2-litre engine, but thanks to the fitment of a full hybrid system, the CO2 emission dips to just under the threshold at 148 g/km. Two variants of the X-Trail hybrid, both equipped with the 4WD system, are available in Thailand, priced at THB 1.537 million and THB 1.617 million. To recap, the conventional 2.5-litre engine delivers outputs of 171 PS and 233 Nm of torque. In the self-charging hybrid variant, the unique two-clutch-one-motor system has a combined output of 179 PS, with the electric motor itself delivering 41 PS (30 kW) of power and 160 Nm of torque.A CVT-type automatic transmission is fitted in all variants. The fuel consumption for the 2.5-litre variants is 8.2 litres per 100 km, while the hybrid variants manage to deliver an impressive 6.4 litres per 100 km. With the lithium-ion battery taking up space in the luggage area, the X-Trail Hybrid is only available as a 5-seater.More details of Nissan’s two-clutch-one-motor hybrid system can be found here. Thailand was the first country outside of Japan to introduce the X-Trail Hybrid model. New advanced driving assistance system consisting of adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and high beam assist (termed Nissan Intelligent Mobility) are available in the top-of-the-range VL-variant of both powertrain options.Standard fitment in the X-Trail 2.5S includes autonomous emergency braking, 4 airbags, third-row seating, infotainment system with touchscreen display, and an electric parking brake with automatic brake hold function. As Nissan Motor Thailand is the key supplier of knocked-down parts and kits (CKD) to the ASEAN region, we can expect Edaran Tan Chong Motor to introduce the facelifted Nissan X-trail in Malaysia within the next few months. ✕ Let's Connect on Whatsapp We protect your personal information in compliance with the PDPA I agree with Carlist.my Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
