In an effort to provide a holistic EV purchase experience, the Leaf will be sold with provisions for home charging, provided by JET Charge, Nissan’s electric vehicle charging provider, and have access to the local Chargefox EV charger network. The full-electric Leaf is built on a dedicated EV platform and is powered by a 40 kWh battery pack that provides power for a single motor that delivers 150 PS and 320 Nm of torque. The major highlight for the new Leaf is its extended range. Under Japanese testing cycles, the Leaf is capable of travelling up to 400 kilometres on a single charge. But according to the US EPA testing standards: the final iteration of the first generation Nissan Leaf could travel up to 172 km; the all-new model can travel up to 241 km.The Leaf requires about 24 hours for a full charge using a standard home wall socket, about 7.5 hours using a 7kW home charger, or about 60 minutes to recharge to 80 percent using a CHAdeMO DC rapid charger.Another innovation that enhances the very unique driving experience of the all-new Nissan Leaf is the e-Pedal. It allows the driver the simplicity of accelerating, decelerating, stopping, and even holding the car’s position, all by using the accelerator pedal alone. Nissan designed the e-Pedal with the idea of maximizing EV driving pleasure.Having previewed the Leaf at last year’s KL International Motor Show, Nissan distributor Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) confirmed that it will go on sale here in Malaysia in the second half of 2019. ✕ Let's Connect on Whatsapp We protect your personal information in compliance with the PDPA I agree with Carlist.my Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
