Auto News

MINI has unveiled the facelifted MINI Clubman which boasts a suite of subtle styling updates and latest generation convenience and connectivity features.

The biggest design update is the new grille – which is now bordered by a slimmer trim outline that extends across the front bumper. The regular models feature an air inlet which is now separated into six horizontal passages, while the Cooper S and SD variants have a hexagonal grid pattern for the air inlets.

The headlight assembly has also been refreshed - the standard halogen headlamps now have an enlarged reflector, DRLs are now integrated with the parking lights lower down in the bumper, and a new white ring around the headlamp functions as both an indicator and secondary DRL. LED and Matrix LED headlamps, and LED fog lamps are offered optionally. At the rear – the Clubman is now fitted as standard with LED rear lights which can be optionally specified with a Union Jack light graphic signature, just like the MINI 3-Door.

On the inside, the Clubman is now offered with a new range of leather trims and interior appointments, while the MINI Yours accessory program allows customers to further customise features such as the steering wheel, seat upholstery, and illuminated interior trims. The Clubman also receives the latest MINI Connected features.

Four diesel and four petrol variants are offered at the outset, inclusive of an AWD (ALL4) variant for the most powerful diesel and petrol engines. As for the petrol powered variants, a 1.5-litre turbocharged 3-cylinder is featured in the MINI One and Cooper Clubman – which delivers 100 hp and 136 hp respectively. The Cooper S and Cooper S ALL4 are equipped with a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder which produces 192 hp.

The MINI One, Cooper, and Cooper S Clubman are offered with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. The Cooper S Clubman can also be optioned with a 7-speed dual-clutch Sports transmission for faster shift times. The Cooper S ALL4 is fitted as standard with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The most powerful MINI John Cooper Works Clubman will be introduced at a later stage. The new MINI Clubman will be progressively rolled out to markets outside of Europe starting next year.
