New Hyundai Elantra Facelifted Listed For Sale, Debut Soon?

Auto News

The current generation Hyundai Elantra, codenamed AD, was introduced in Malaysia back in 2017. Not long after that, a new facelifted version made its global debut in August 2018, with Singapore being the first market in the region to launch the model earlier this year.

Thanks to an ad posted by a Hyundai dealer on Carlist.my, it appears that Hyundai Sime Darby Motors will be introducing the new facelifted Elantra in the coming months.

The ad mentioned two variants - 2.0 Dynamic and a 2.0 Executive. Curiously, the Elantra Sport was not mentioned.

Tentative prices are said to start from RM 109,000 for the 2.0 Executive variant, not too far off from the current Elantra’s RM 109,888 starting price.

The new Elantra gets a completely revamped exterior with a sharper front fascia and sportier rear end. The interior has also been refreshed.

Safety wise, the updated Elantra is also available with SmartSense, which is Hyundai’s suite of advanced driver assistance, including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Collision Warning with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist, Driver Attention Alert, Safe Exit Assist, and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection.
