The new City is expected to be launched in Malaysia sometime in March or earlier. The display car seen here had its doors locked so we are not able to take any pictures of its interior yet. Assuming that our locally-assembled Malaysian market model will have the same interior as the City sold in Thailand, the new City’s interior should remain visually quite similar to the outgoing model. However that doesn’t mean that Honda has not upgraded the features in the new City. Engine push-start button and keyless entry are now standard across the range. The highest V-grade model also adds a reverse camera.More importantly, the all-important Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) – Honda’s terminology for Electronic Stability Control or ESC – is now available across the range. Previous, VSA is only available on the top-two highest E- and V-grade models. Additionally, Hill Start Assist (HSA) is also now a standard feature.Outside, the most notable difference with the new City are its full-LED headlamps, which now includes a pair of LED daytime running lights – both limited only to the high specs V-grade model. There’s also new bumpers in front and behind, new chrome grille, and new dual-tone alloys wheels. The boot lid is now finished by a ducktail spoiler with an integrated third brake light.Mechanically, the new City remains unchanged. Under the bonnet is a 1.5-litre SOHC i-VTEC engine paired to a CVT-type automatic transmission.Pricing is not yet announced, but it is expected to be slightly higher or similar to its predecessor (below).City S: RM74,006.90City S+: RM77,123.80City E: RM82,268.90City V: RM89,467.20As you can see, the outgoing model has four variants. However Honda Malaysia have confirmed that the S and S+ variant will be rationalized into one variant. In the build up to the new City’s launch in the coming weeks, customers can view the new City at Honda road shows at the following locations: ✕ Let's Connect on Whatsapp We protect your personal information in compliance with the PDPA I agree with Carlist.my Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
