Home News Auto News New 2017 BMW 4 Series LCI (F32) and M4 (F82) Launched in Malaysia New 2017 BMW 4 Series LCI (F32) and M4 (F82) Launched in Malaysia Auto News Gokul | July 06, 2017 08:34 pm BMW Group Malaysia today announced the expansion of its product lineup with the introduction of the new 4 Series Coupé, which will come in three trim levels:BMW 420i Coupé Sport - RM 338,800BMW 430i Coupé M Sport - RM 408,800BMW M4 Coupé - RM760,800*Prices mentioned are OTR without insuranceDesign wise, the new 4 Series Coupé now comes with a more prominent presence, thanks to newly designed front and rear sections.While the car’s front end now features modified air inlets and new bi-LED headlights which replace the outgoing xenons, the rear section sees the inclusion of a new apron, larger tailpipes, as well as newly designed all-LED tailights.Other introductions include new 18 and 19-inch light alloy rims and the newest exterior colour called ‘Snapper Rocks Blue’, which is offered as an option for the BMW 420i Coupé Sport.Cosmetics aside, the 4-Series now comes with an enhanced suspension system – made stiffer for better dynamism while adapting damper settings to retain ride comfort.However, only the 430i Coupé M Sport gets the Adaptive M Suspension as the 420i Coupe Sport gets the standard suspension setup.Coupled with increased steering precision consequent of advanced fine-tuning of the chassis, BMW claims that body roll has been reduced in the 4 Series without compromising the ride comfort known in its predecessor.In terms of engine offerings, the new 4 Series is powered by the 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine that is part of the current BMW B-series modular engine family.Under the hood of the 420i Coupé Sport is a 184hp and 270Nm version of the mill which enables the car to do the century sprint in 7.5 seconds. Meanwhile, the 430i Coupé M Sport gets a boosted version of the engine which kicks out 252hp and 350Nm, able to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 5.8 seconds. Both variants are paired to the famous ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox. Inside, new ambient lighting, new chrome appliqué trims bedecking the audio and air conditioning systems, as well as a new sports steering wheel are offered as standard in the 420i and the 430i M Sport.The 430i M Coupé Sport also features the latest-generation (ID6) user interface with six tile icons arranged on two screen pages on the 8.8-inch display.The interface also enables touch screen functionality, making the new 4 Series the only car in its segment have such an offering.The 420i and 430i M Sport are also equipped with BMW Connected services including Intelligent Emergency Call, Teleservices and Remote Services via the BMW Connected App. However, the BMW Concierge Services capability is only available on the BMW 430i Coupé M Sport.As for the M4, the car comes fitted with BMW Adaptive Full-LED headlights and tailights as standard, M specific exterior mirrors, gills and double tailpipes, as well as a carbon roof and a Powerdome on the outside. Inside, the M4's unique features include redesigned and illuminated M emblems, M Sport seats, M leather steering wheel with M Drive buttons, and also carbon fibre trim.Under the hood, the new M4 is powered by a 3.0 litre M TwinPower Turbo in-line six-cylinder engine capable of producing up to 431 hp and 550 Nm, paired to a seven-speed double clutch transmission. Powertrain package aside, the M4 also comes with Active M Differential, M Dynamic Mode, M Servotronic electromechanical steering, M compound brakes and adaptive M suspension.In case you're wondering how quick this thing is, it can accelerate from standstill to 100km/h in just 3.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 291km/h.
