Mitsubishi Triton VGT AT GL Introduced - Performance Without Excess

The good thing about pickup trucks in Malaysia is that aside from the normal consumer-friendly variants that come decked out with features and luxuries, companies will usually still offer a bare-bones spec variant for those who need a workhorse- as the pickup truck was originally intended to be. Taking out all the unnecessary luxuries helps to bring the price down, but unfortunately more often than not these variants also come with the least appealing powertrains. 

The Triton VGT AT GL is different from this in that respect, in that it's based on the Triton VGT AT that comes with the strong 181 PS/430 Nm 2.4-litre turbodiesel motor with a Variable Geometry Turbine for increased response and performance. Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia has just introduced this variant alongside the regular Triton model range, and like the other Triton models it is fully imported from Thailand. 

In terms of features, as mentioned before this variant is specifically bare as it focuses on affordability and functionality. That being said, Mitsubishi isn't cruel: you still get a 2-Din Audio head unit, a 4WD selector, automatic climate control, a dark chrome grill, side steps, and 16-inch alloy wheels. Safety is also covered with Active Stability and Traction Control systems, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, Traction Control, Hill Start Assist, and Trailer Stability Assist. While this VGT AT GL variant may be bare on the surface, it's still a great value for money proposition.
