Home News Auto News Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross And Xpander Score 5-Star and 4-Star ASEAN NCAP Ratings Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross And Xpander Score 5-Star and 4-Star ASEAN NCAP Ratings Auto News Gokul | February 06, 2018 03:23 pm The New Car Assessment Programme for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP) today announced the results for the new Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross and the Mitsubishi Xpander.Having achieved 5-Star rating with an overall score of 91.05 points, the Eclipse Cross obtained 48.81 points over 50.00 for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), 22.11 points over 25.00 for COP and 20.14 points over 25.00 for Safety Assist Technologies (SATs) category.Although the 5-seater SUV is only offered in Brunei and Singapore, it is fitted with seven airbags as standard.The model has a standard fitment of Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Seatbelt Reminder System (SBR) for both frontal occupants in addition to rear SBR offered in Singapore.Furthermore, the variants in Singapore are also equipped with Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) for City, InterUrban and Vulnerable Road Users technologies together with Forward Collision Warning.The Xpander MPV on the other hand, obtained an overall score of 71.66 points, resulting in 4-Star rating. For the Adult Occupant Protection category, the MPV scored 39.08 points, 18.69 points for Child Occupant Protection and 13.89 points for Safety Assist Technologies categories.The seven-seater MPV, which was the first MPV tested by ASEAN NCAP under the new protocol for 2017-2020, has a standard fitment of dual airbags and frontal SBRs for both driver and front passenger across all variants.It is also fitted with a Safety Assist Technology feature called Emergency Stop Signal offered either standard or optional in the countries where it is made available.
