Mercedes-Benz S560e Launched In Malaysia, Priced From An Est. RM 658,888

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has introduced the new S560e in Malaysia, adding a plug-in hybrid to its S-Class line-up.

The S560e is powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 that does 367 hp and 500 Nm, which is supplemented by a 90 kW electric motor that delivers a peak torque of 400 Nm. The combined system output for the S560e is 476 hp and 700 Nm, allowing the large luxury saloon to complete the century sprint in just 5.0 seconds.

Mercedes-Benz also replaced the old 7G-Tronic seven-speed automatic transmission with a newer 9G-Tronic Plus nine-speed automatic.

Thanks to a new 37 Ah battery pack, the S560e boasts an electric driving range of about 50 km. The new battery pack is also more compact than the one found in the S400h, allowing boot space in the S560e to be increased to 410 litres, up from the 395 litres of the S400h.

The Mercedes-Benz S560e is priced from an estimated RM 658,888 and is assembled at the company’s plant in Pekan, Pahang. Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is also offering the S560e with its Agility Financing plan that starts from RM 6,588.
