The good men over at GoAuto have reported that Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific is taking the model into consideration for this region, which would make sense given how hugely popular pickup trucks are. As of now, only UK dealers are reported to be taking GBP 1,000 deposits (RM 5532) for a car that has only ever been shown in concept. For now while Australian Mercedes-Benz dealers aren't taking any money, they have been receiving a huge number of enquiries from potential customers; the potential volume is so large that there simply wouldn't be enough supply to go around if every prospective customer made good on their word. Just as we see here, pickup truck customers are coming from both private and commercial sector, and the X-Class is an especially appealing product thanks to its blend of luxury and functionality. Mercedes-Benz Australia will be looking to get a viewing unit in the country for potential customers to examine and feel, and the car may likely be in production ready form by as early as the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Estimated period of arrival for the Australian market if demand is high enough is said to be early 2018, and as of now prospective customer details are also being collected through their website. Perhaps if there is big market success for the X-Class in Australia, we will see it being introduced across other parts of the region as well. ✕ Let's Connect on Whatsapp We protect your personal information in compliance with the PDPA I agree with Carlist.my Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
