Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe Gets A Facelift And New Engines Too, Priced From RM 346,888

A day after launching the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan range at Cycle and Carriage Bintang KL City Store at TREC, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia unveiled the Coupe variants to the motoring media.

“The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class range is completed with the launch of the Mercedes-Benz C200 Coupe and C300 Coupe. With its refined design, superior features and athletic character, the next generation C-Class Coupe is now even more dynamic and progressive while retaining its high degree of luxury and sophistication,” said Mark Raine, Vice President Sales & Marketing Passenger Cars, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia.

Similar to the facelifted C200 sedan, the C200 Coupe is powered by the company’s new 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder that develops 184 hp and 280 Nm. EQ Boost is able to supplement the engine’s output by another 13 hp / 160 Nm when accelerating and charges back the battery during deceleration.

Paired with the 9-speed automatic transmission, the C200 Coupe completes the benchmark 0-100 km/h sprint in 7.9 seconds.

The C300 Coupe echoes the sedan’s powertrain- featuring the new 2.0-litre twin-scroll turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 258 hp and 370 Nm of torque. 6 seconds is all that is needed for the new C300 Coupe to complete the century sprint.

Both the C200 and C300 Coupe is now fitted with the AMG Line package that includes a front bumper design with ‘air curtain’ side vents and a single louvre radiator grille with chrome pins.

Inside, both models feature the new 12.3-inch Digital Instrument Display that allows drivers to change display themes to a classic, sporty or progressive look.

The new Nappa leather-wrapped steering wheel now has a pair of Touch Control switches, allowing the driver to swipe through the selection in the display menus.

The new C200 Coupe is priced from RM 346,888 and comes with these features as standard:

• Active Lane Keeping Assist
• COMAND online infotainment system
• Burmester surround sound system
