Home News Auto News Mazda 2 Facelift Launched In Malaysia – RM 103,670 Mazda 2 Facelift Launched In Malaysia – RM 103,670 Auto News Aswan | March 06, 2020 01:39 pm Of all the Japanese manufacturers on the market, Mazda has lofty aspirations. They’re seeking to move to a more upmarket segment, and their products heavily reflect this. All of their recent offerings have been both beautiful to look at and well specified, in addition to having exemplary ride and handling characteristics. The latest model to be introduced here by Bermaz Motor is the Mazda 2 facelift which sees an assortment of additions that really bring the compact hatchback up to speed. The powertrain remains the same with a 114 hp, 149 Nm SkyActiv-G petrol engine that measures 1.5 litres in size. This is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission that delivers power to the front wheels – again, nothing new here. Styling revisions are very minimal with this facelift, with small nips and tucks at the front and rear and the largest distinction being the 16-inch alloy wheels in a different design. The interior is much the same as well in terms of overall styling, not that we’re complaining as it stands head and shoulders above the competition in its class. The headline additions are items that have slowly made their way into various Mazda models over the months and years. G Vectoring Control Plus, or GVC Plus, now comes as standard in the singular variant on offer, as does Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality. Trim materials have been changed to a blue-grey leather for the upholstery in place of the black leather of before. Standard safety features include two front airbags, ABS with EBD, Traction Control with DSC, Emergency Brake Assist, Emergency Stop Signal and Hill Launch Assist. For budding young families, there is also ISOFIX to ensure child seats are mounted correctly and safely. The price for all this is RM 103,670, inclusive of a five year, 100,000 km warranty and free maintenance package. Optional extras are an RM 500 charge for the Soul Red Crystal paint option, RM 1,270 for a navigation SD card for the infotainment system, and RM 1,900 for safety film tinting. All prices and specifications are identical for both the sedan and hatchback variants of the Mazda 2. ✕ Let's Connect on Whatsapp We protect your personal information in compliance with the PDPA I agree with Carlist.my Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
