Lexus RC 200t Introduced With 241HP Turbocharged Engine

Lexus has announced a new turbocharged variant for its sports coupe line with the introduction of the RC 200t.

The RC 200t is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-scroll turbocharged inline four-cylinder petrol engine, developing 241hp and 350Nm of torque, and is paired to an eight-speed Sport Direct Shift (SPDS) transmission, driving the rear wheels. This powertrain is also found on the recently introduced IS 200t as well. Performance-wise, the coupe gets to 100km/h from a standstill in just 7.5 seconds with a top speed of 230km/h.

Developed in house, the powerplant features a combination of water-cooled cylinder head, integrated exhaust manifold and twin scroll turbocharger. It also comes with Variable Valve Timing intelligent – Wide (VVTi-W), allowing the engine to switch between the Otto and Atkinson cycles.

Lexus will also be offering a F Sport version of the RC 200t as well which features tuned front and rear suspension systems with a Torsen Limited Slip Differential and the Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS). Visual cues include model-specific badging and 19-inch alloy wheels.
