But first, let’s us have a gander at that price, which was revealed on Facebook group, Mazda CX-3 Club Malaysia. It will come, as expected, fully imported in a single SkyActiv-G 2.0L variant, and should be identical to the unit displayed (previewed, rather) at the 2015 NST-MAI ASEAN Auto Show. The price does mean it is more expensive than many of its local rivals such as the Peugeot 2008 (RM120k), Ford EcoSport 1.5L Titanium (RM101k), and Honda HR-V 1.8L V (RM118k), and Mitsubishi's ASX (RM105k-RM113k, 2WD) (RM125k, 4WD).For your RM131k, you’ll get that rather shapely exterior, a 2.0-litre SkyActiv-G petrol engine that outputs 146hp and 197Nm of torque that’s mated to a SkyActiv-Drive six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.Standard kit includes, notably, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps and LED daytime running lights, front LED fog lamps, sunroof, reverse camera, leather multi-function steering wheel, leather upholstery, a 6-speaker audio setup that’s linked to the MZD Connect infotainment system with a 7-inch central LCD display, head-up display, rain sensing windshield wipers, cruise control, smart keyless system, and I-STOP idling stop/start system. On the safety front, there are six airbags, traction control, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) with brake assist (BA), Dynamic Stability Control, Hill Launch Assist and Emergency Stop Signal (ESS). Quite well stocked, it seems. Mazda’s i-ActivSense doesn’t quite make the cut to the units sold in Malaysia, it would seem, meaning we won’t have such features like Lane Departure Warning, Smart City Braking or Rear View Monitoring. One could theorise that that call was made due to those additions not yet being standard in many cars in Malaysia, let alone in this price range, and would increase the selling price substantially. Ultimately, Bermaz Motor presumably decided its omission was a worthwhile tradeoff to keep the CX-3's pricing competitive.A Mazda Navigation System option can be selected for a RM1,270 premium which adds mapping info and a destination database via an SD card, as well as safety window tinting option called SKYTINT (Mazda can’t get enough of thet word Sky). We'll have more coverage on the new Mazda CX-3 as it makes its Malaysian debut in the very near future. ✕ Let's Connect on Whatsapp We protect your personal information in compliance with the PDPA I agree with Carlist.my Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
