Leaked Mazda CX-3 Malaysian Brochure Reveals Detailed Specs Ahead Of Local Debut
Auto NewsThe Mazda CX-3 is so close to its Malaysian debut we can almost taste it. More accurately, it’s tomorrow evening, and we’ll have coverage on that as it happens. A little over a week ago, a Malaysian facebook group called Mazda CX-3 Club Malaysia revealed information that was purported to out the car’s local price tag of RM131k.
On that same Facebook group, it seems, even more information has surfaced which includes detailed specifications of the variant that's on the cusp of Malaysian release. Upon having a rather squinted look at the uploaded picture(s) - it has a rather low resolution) - it seems to confirm what we've already heavily suspected about newest Mazda due to hit our roads.
The leaked specifications seemingly confirm a 2.0-litre SKYACTIV-G inline-4 cylinder engine that produces 146hp and 192Nm of torque, mated to a SKYACTIV-DRIVE six-speed automatic transmission that transmits power to two driven wheels (2WD) - no surprises so far.
We then move on to the standard equipment list, which includes automatic 18-inch wheels, LED headlamps with automatic levelling, LED daytime running lights, front LED fog lamps, powered foldable side mirrors with integrated turn signals, automatic wipers, the fuel-saving i-Stop idling stop system, paddle-shifters, cruise control, keyless entry, a heads-up display, and a reverse camera as well.
For occupant comfort and convenience, there is upholstery finished in leather and suede, automatic air conditioning, sunroof, and the MZD Connect infotainment system with a 7-inch LCD control display and circular control knob, and a 6-speaker audio system.
On the safety front, these leaked Mazda CX-3 specs purport it have 6 airbags (front and side curtain), Anti-lock Brakes (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Traction Control (TCS).
There will be five colour options for the prospective owner to choose from including Soul Red Metallic, Crystal White Pearl, Jet Black, Meteor Grey, and finally Deep Crystal Blue.
Like we said, we’ll have more on the CX-3 as the launch officially takes place on the evening of December 8th. Until then, you’ll have these leaked specification to tide you over and colour your opinions on whether you’d be interested in owning one.
We’ll leave you to your thoughts.
