KLIMS 2018: Ford To Debut Ranger Raptor – 213 PS, 500 NM

Auto News

Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC), the official distributor of Ford vehicles in Malaysia will be introducing the highly-anticipated Ranger Raptor at the upcoming 2018 Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show (KLIMS).

The heart of the Ranger Raptor is Ford’s new EcoBlue 2.0-litre bi-turbo commonrail turbochaged diesel engine that delivers 213 PS and 500 Nm. The EcoBlue mill is paired to a 10-speed automatic that sends all 213 PS and 500 Nm to all 4 wheels via Ford’s 4WD system.

But power figures aside, what makes a Ranger Raptor worthy of the Raptor name is its handling prowess. For the new Ranger Raptor, Ford gave it 150 mm wider tracks, a redesigned rear suspension with Fox Racing shocks and coil springs at the rear.

Ford also gave the Ranger Raptor a superior ground clearance over its siblings, towering them with a massive 283 mm ground clearance, a 46 mm increase.
