Kia Grand Carnival 2.2D SX Introduced In Malaysia, Replaces 2.2D EX

Naza Kia Malaysia, the official distributor of Kia vehicles in Malaysia has introduced a new variant of their large MPV - the Grand Carnival 2.2D SX.

The introduction of the new Grand Carnival 2.2D SX sees the 2.2D EX dropped from Naza Kia’s lineup, and the new model will join the existing 2.2D KX to form a two-variant line-up.

Outside, the new Grand Carnival 2.2D SX can be differentiated by its new 19-inch alloy wheels, new HID projector headlights with Diamond Glitter LED positioning lights, and Black High Glossy Mesh Type front grille. Furthermore, the exterior also features a front skid plate. 

As for the interior, the new Grand Carnival 2.2D SX features an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. For the rear passengers, the Rear Entertainment System with dual monitors with WiFI connectivity comes as standard.

Continuing inside, the interior also features a new two-tone burgundy leather seats with wood grain garnish and powered front passenger seat. 

Mechanically, the new Grand Carnival 2.2D SX features the familiar 2.2-litre turbodiesel four-cylinder that does 190 hp and 440 Nm. A six-speed automatic transmission sends power to the front wheels.

Priced at RM188,888 (on-the-road without insurance), the new Kia Grand Carnival 2.2D SX can be had in four colours, namely Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl, Blackberry and Silky Silver, with the latter being exclusive to the range-topping model.
