JPJ Urge Motorists To Settle DBKL Summonses By 1 Sept Or Get Blacklisted

Motorists with outstanding Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) summonses are urged to settle their summonses by 1 September or risk getting blacklisted by the Road Transport Department (JPJ).

In order to entice these motorists to pay up, DBKL is currently offering a flat rate of RM20 for motorcycle offences, RM30 for cars, MPVs, SUVs, vans, and lorries, while heavier vehicles such as buses, tractors, trailers, and cranes need to cough out RM50.

According to DBKL Corporate Planning Department director Khairul Azmir Ahmad, these discounts are only valid for illegal parking at metered parking spots. Additionally, he added that only summonses issued by DBKL are applicable.

He also added that there will be no more extensions given to these errant motorists. Motorists that are already blacklist or have an ongoing court session or arrest warranty are not applicable for the discount.

To settle their outstanding summonses, motorists can pay the fines via the official DBKL Mobis app (Google Play Store, Apple App Store), DBKL payment counters or kiosks, myeg, com.my, or Pos Malaysia outlets nationwide.
