Johor man's lavish Porsche proposal goes viral

Talk about a grand gesture. A 28-year-old man in Johor has set the bar really high by proposing to his girlfriend with a Porsche.

When most of us are breaking our piggy banks trying to buy an engagement ring, Zhang was seen proposing with a black shiny Porsche that cost him about RM120,000 just for the downpayment. 
 

As seen in videos and photos of this intimate occasion that went viral on social media, Zhang was on one knee with a ring in hand popping the big question to his girlfriend, Wang. In the background, a black Porsche adorned with a big red bow was propped in a transparent container filled with balloons for all to see. Family and friends cheered on joyously, as 26-year-old Wang gave a heartfelt speech accepting his hand in marriage. 

The inspiration came to Zhang after seeing a similar proposal gesture on social media. When his girlfriend planned to buy a Mercedes for herself after receiving a company bonus, he decided to go above and beyond by “upgrading” the car to a Porsche. 

Zhang pulled off the surprise proposal by telling his girlfriend that there was going to be a ceremony when they collect the vehicle on Valentine’s Day. Their family and friends’ attendance was expected but Wang was unaware that he was going to ask for her hand in marriage.
