But not anymore, as Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors has just announced the introduction of a 2.0-litre CRDI diesel variant, which sits at the top of the range. Just like the other variants, this diesel Tucson qualifies for EEV incentives from the Malaysian government. This new diesel engine puts out 178 PS and 400 Nm of torque from 1,750 rpm to 2,750 rpm.It joins a 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol model (2.0L Elegance) and a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol model (1.6L Turbo GDI), and is priced at RM 155,788 (on the road, without insurance). This is RM 10,100 more than the 1.6-litre turbo model, and RM 29,600 more than the base 2.0-litre model. Like the 1.6L Turbo GDI, the 2.0L CRDI also has a full complement of 6 airbags. It's worth noting that the 2.0-litre Executive model has been phased out of the lineup as well. This diesel variant also gets a few extra bits of equipment for the extra money you pay. LED headlamps with bending lights, an auto-hold function for the brakes, and a smart powered tailgate are the three main differences between this diesel model and other variants of the Tucson. There are also optional 19-inch alloy wheels, an optional bodykit, and optional black, white, or red coloured leather interiors. All variants of the Tucson come with 50,000 km free service, which is valid for up to 3 years. There is also a 5-year, 300,000 km warranty on these cars, as is the same with any Hyundai passenger car sold locally. 24-hour roadside assist is also available to new and existing Hyundai vehicles. ✕ Let's Connect on Whatsapp We protect your personal information in compliance with the PDPA I agree with Carlist.my Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
