Home News Auto News Honda Malaysia: HR-V Remains Country’s Top Compact SUV Honda Malaysia: HR-V Remains Country’s Top Compact SUV Auto News Jim Kem | December 20, 2019 01:56 pm Honda Malaysia has announced that over 14,800 units of the facelifted HR-V have been sold between January and November of 2019, with the company declaring that the popular model has been holding steady in its No.1 position in the compact SUV market. Additionally, the automaker’s local arm states that over the four years since the HR-V’s 2015 Malaysian introduction, it has boasted an average market share of 76 percent and a total sales figure of over 87,000 units as of November 2019. Commenting on the matter, Honda Malaysia Managing Director and CEO, Mr Toichi Ishiyama, said: “The latest HR-V was introduced in Malaysia early this year. It was also the first time that Honda Malaysia is introducing the RS variant to excite the market further with our best-selling Compact SUV. We have also introduced the Hybrid variant which is the first hybrid Compact SUV in its segment.” “Both Petrol and Hybrid variant sales performance shows that the HR-V continues to be well-received in the Malaysian market and maintains a strong position in its segment.
