The recall is made to replace the driver front airbag inflator with newly produced inflators.For a breakdown of the affected models and their corresponding year of manufacture (YM), refer below:Honda City (2006-2012 YM)Honda Civic (2006-2011 YM)Honda Civic Hybrid (2007-2011 YM)Honda CR-V (2007-2011 YM)Honda Insight (2011-2012 YM)Honda Jazz (2009-2012 YM)Honda Stream (2007-2012 YM)Affected customers will be notified by Honda Malaysia through notification letters, which will include details of the product update. Customers who receive these letters are advised to send their vehicles to the nearest authorised Honda dealer for inspection. Honda Malaysia will bear the cost of parts and labour for the replacement works to be carried out.Honda Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. continues to urge owners of Honda vehicles affected by the airbag inflator product updates to get their vehicles checked and parts replaced at any authorized Honda dealers as soon as possible. Honda Malaysia also reiterated that all current selling models are not affected by this issue.
