Honda has announced that the HR-V has reached a new milestone to become Japan's No.1 selling SUV, with cumulative sales reaching over 120,000 units since its launch in December 2013.
The compact crossover SUV model is sold in Japan as the Vezel and is Honda's fourth global model after the Civic, Accord, and CR-V.
According to data compiled by the Japan Automobile Dealers Association (JADA) Honda sold 100,479 units of the HR-V in 2014.
Over in Malaysia, Honda is also enjoying similarly strong response for the HR-V, having secured over 10,000 bookings for the car within one and a half month after the car's launch in February 2015.
