The new N-Van will join the N-Box, N-One, N-Wgn, and N-Box Slash as the fifth member in Honda’s N series of kei cars.Built on the same platform as the N-Box, the goal of the N-Van is to offer users maximum cargo space with efficient loading and unloading, all within the confines of the kei car dimensions. Ease of loading and unloading is aided by the N-Van’s low floor, thanks to Honda’s patented centre-tank layout, similar to the Jazz.Further improving the N-Van’s practicality is the lack of B-pillar, the first for any kei-type vans, allowing the N-Van to be used as a mobile store front. The new Honda N-Van comes in at 3,395 mm long, with a width of 1,475 mm. The wheelbase is 2,520 mm, while the height is 1,945 for the N-Van G, while the N-Van Style Cool has a lower height of 1,850 mm.Similar to other kei-type vehicles, the new N-Van is powered by a 660 cc three-cylinder engine. Depending on variant, the engine is either naturally-aspirated or turbocharged. The naturally-aspirated versions of the N-Van do 53 PS and 64 Nm, while the turbocharged versions do 64 PS and 104 Nm. Both engines can be mated to a CVT-type automatic or 6-speed manual, with power sent to front or all four wheels.Safety equipment is also generous for a kei-type van, including:Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM)Traffic Sign RecognitionLead Car Departure Notification SystemPedestrian Collision Mitigation Steering SystemFalse Start PreventionFalse Backward Start PreventionCollision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)The CVT-equipped N-Van variants comes standard with Honda Sensing across the range as shown above, however variants equipped with the 6-speed manual are not equipped with False Start Prevention, Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), False Backward Start Prevention, and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).For those seeking something a little more different, Mugen is offering a range of accessories for the new N-Van, including:Front bumperRear bumperFront skirtDoor handle protectorDecal stripesWheelsCarpet matsThe new Honda N-Van is priced from JPY 1,267,920 (~RM45,471) and the company plans to sell 3,000 units a month. ✕ Let's Connect on Whatsapp We protect your personal information in compliance with the PDPA I agree with Carlist.my Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
