Honda Announces Vezel With 1.5 VTEC Turbo For Japan
Auto NewsHonda has just announced that they will be introducing a new variant of the Vezel in Japan called the Vezel Touring. The Vezel is also known as the HR-V outside of Japan.
Set to be released on January 31st 2019, the Vezel Touring is powered by a 1.5-litre VTEC Turbo four-cylinder petrol engine. Honda has yet to release power figures, but its European arm recently unveiled the HR-V Sport, powered by a similar engine that does 182 PS and 220 Nm (CVT). When paired with a six-speed manual, the torque figure is higher at 240 Nm.
In addition to the new engine, Honda has also stated that the Vezel Touring can be had with two exclusive colours – Premium Crystal Blue Metallic or Super Platinum Gray Metallic. The Vezel Touring also receives a unique brown Ultrasuede interior trim that covers part of the dashboard, seats, centre console, and door trim.

The steering configuration on the Honda Vezel Touring is also bespoke to this model, utilizing a variable ratio electric power-assisted system that is complemented by Honda’s Agile Handling Assist technology, much like its European counterpart.
