There will be five variants available: CX-5 2.0G 2WD Mid – RM137,379 CX-5 2.0G 2WD High – RM154,379 CX-5 2.5G 2WD High – RM167,770 CX-5 2.2D 2WD High – RM172,532 CX-5 2.5G 4WD High Turbo – RM181,770 *Prices indicated are on the road without insurance As mentioned above, the big news is the addition of the addition of the turbocharged 2.5-litre variant to the line-up which is the new range-topping model. Here to replace the previous range-topping 2.2-litre AWD Diesel variant, the new CX-5 2.5L Turbo is powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine which makes 228 hp and 420 Nm of maximum torque. Paired to the engine is a 6-speed SkyActiv-Drive automatic gearbox and Mazda’s i-Activ all-wheel drive system. The 2.0G variants on the other hand, are powered by the same 2.0 litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 162 hp and 213 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, while the 2.2D diesel variant comes with a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine which kicks out 178 hp and 450 Nm of torque.
