Haval M4 is Now Known as the H1

Go Automobile Manufacturing (Go Auto), the official distributor of Haval vehicles in Malaysia today re-introduced the M4 with a new name – the H1.

It is said that the name change was part of the company’s effort to restructure its product portfolio in various markets.

Powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder VVT MPI engine producing 105hp and 138Nm of torque, the big news with the Haval H1 is that there will no longer be a manual version, as all variants will come with a semi-automatic AMT gearbox.

The variants are:

• Haval H1 Comfort – RM61,950
• Haval H1 Premium – RM67,950
• Haval H1 Elite – RM74,950

While the list of standard features across the range includes:

• Reflector halogen headlights
• Front and rear fog lights
• Luggage carrier
• 60:40 folding rear seats
• Immobiliser
• Roof rails
• 16-inch wheels  
• Leather steering wheel
• Digital speedometer
• Fabric seats
• Reverse sensors
• Infotainment system with touchscreen

• Brake Assist

• Hill Start Assist

The Premium gets additional features like:

• Battery Alert Sensor
• GPS Navigation
• Reverse Camera
• Built-in Smart Tag

And then we have the range-topping Elite variant which gets even more features such as:

• Poly-Elipse Projector Headlamp
• A centre console
• Digital Video Recorder (DVR)
• Daytime Running Lights (DRL)
• Window Film

Offered in six colours (white, silver, black, blue, red, orange), the Haval H1 comes with a seven-year/ unlimited mileage warranty. In addition, Go Auto has also introduced a “Buy Back Guarantee” program where owners will receive 50 percent of the SUV’s resale value should it be resold to the company within five years.

Last but not the least, the Haval H1, along with its sibling – the H2, are classified as Energy Efficient Vehicles (EEVs) by the International Trade and Industry Ministry (MITI).
