Get Up Close With The New Proton Saga At Carlist.my Drive Auto Fair 2019

It's the last model to receive the update treatment from Proton - but arguably one of their most important. The newly launched updated Proton Saga has brought numerous improvements to the staple for the Proton range, chief among which are a full set of safety systems available in the top spec variant, priced at just under RM 40,000.

Now, we know heading to a showroom can be a little tiresome when you're shopping around for cars - which is why we're pleased to announced that Proton will be putting the Saga on display at the Carlist.my Drive Auto Fair 2019. You can get up close and personal with the compact sedan - touch it, smell it, sit in it - as well place an order if it impresses you enough. 

Starting prices for the Saga are at RM 32,800, and there are three variants on offer. All variants are powered by the same 1.3-litre four-cylinder VVT engine, pushing 95 PS and 120 Nm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission that replaces the CVT of the pre-facelift model.

Styling elements have been changed to fall in line with the current crop of models as well, including a new front and rear bumper, and most notably a large set of 15-inch wheels for the Premium AT variant of the Saga which really changes the overall look and lends a touch of sportiness while complementing the proportions of the car.
