Home News Auto News Geneva 2019: New Mitsubishi ASX Unveiled Prior To Motor Show Geneva 2019: New Mitsubishi ASX Unveiled Prior To Motor Show Auto News Siew Weng | February 13, 2019 10:22 am First introduced in late 2010, and having a number of improvements and facelifts over the years, the new Mitsubishi ASX SUV continues to be powered by the 2.0-litre naturally aspirated engine with MIVEC variable valve timing, paired with a CVT-type automatic transmission. The Dynamic Shield front design has blended incredibly well with the original shape of the nearly a decade-old ASX. Slim LED head lights are mounted at the extreme edges, with a large-sized auxiliary lighting assembly beneath it. Sharp vertical and horizontal lines plus a skid plate under the bumper add strength and toughness to the design. At the rear, Mitsubishi has updated the graphics in the tail lamp to project a sense of width for the ASX. A more aggressive bumper design with a skid plate matching the front design completes the new look.Styling on the inside, unfortunately, did not receive any liberty unlike the exterior. There seem to be no changes to the steering wheel, air conditioning switches (still no temperature display), and the overall interior design itself. While there is a new bezel surrounding the touch screen infotainment unit, this might only be limited to the highest variant.Seen here is a Rockford Fosgate system with a display screen measuring eight inches. With the ASX now updated to the Dynamic Shield front design, almost all of the Mitsubishi model line-up now features the ‘family’ look (only the Lancer is left out). The new Triton pick-up is the most recent product to feature this new front design in Malaysia.Joining the Mitsubishi display area at the Geneva Motor Show 2019 is the Engelberg Tourer concept, an electrified SUV which promises to “bring more SUV, more EV, more technology, and more style”.In Malaysia, Mitsubishi Motors offers the locally-assembled ASX in two variants: the 2WD priced from RM 118,866 and the AWD priced from RM 133,336.08. ✕ Let's Connect on Whatsapp We protect your personal information in compliance with the PDPA I agree with Carlist.my Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
