Frankfurt 2015: The Honda Civic Type R Is What Dreams Are Made Of
Auto NewsThe all-new Honda Civic Type R may have been revealed earlier in the year but it still commands a presence wherever it shows up and this time, it is at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, where we’re bringing you live photos of the much-awaited hot hatch.
Seen here in Championship White, the Civic Type R is not subtle in its aggressive styling. With slates and many, many angular bits that add up to its final look, they also play a vital role in aerodynamics to optimise downforce and air flow.
Pop open the hood and you’ll find a new direct-injection, turbocharged 2.0-litre VTEC engine. Delivering 310PS at 6,500rpm and 400Nm of torque at 2,500rpm, drivers will have the tactile pleasure of rowing through a six-speed manual gearbox.
Nestled in those sport bucket seats and with a nice chunky leather-wrapped steering wheel in your hands, you’re bound to have a good time.
For now, do enjoy the gallery we’ve put up below and maybe wish real hard that Honda Malaysia brings the hot hatch officially to Malaysia.
