Diesel Version of the Kia Sportage Makes Malaysian Debut
Auto NewsIn addition to the Sorento HS Turbo Diesel, Naza Kia Malaysia, the authorised distributor of Kia vehicles in Malaysia also launched another diesel model today - the Kia Sportage GT Turbo Diesel, joining the Sportage GT Line (RM141,888) and KX Line (RM121,888) petrol variants.
Unlike the Sorento which is powered by a 2.2-litre CRDi turbo diesel engine, the Sportage GT Diesel is powered by a less powerful 2.0-litre CRDi turbo diesel engine which kicks out 185 PS and 400 Nm of torque. Paired with the engine is a six-speed automatic gearbox.
While the petrol-powered Sportage variants are strictly front-wheel driven, the diesel version gets the Dynamax AWD system similar to the Sorento seven-seater SUV.
Capable of covering more than 1,000km with a single full tank of fuel according to Naza Kia, the Sportage GT Diesel does not only come with more power and an AWD system, but also many extras compared to the lower spec petrol versions such as:

Priced at RM159,888 (OTR with insurance), the Kia Sportage 2.0 AWD GT CRDi is available in five colour options - Cherry Black, Mercury Blue, Fiery Red, Snow White Pearl and Mineral Silver, and comes with a five years unlimited mileage warranty.
