This is true even up to luxury brands, and Mercedes-Benz is no different. To incentivize these professionals to study hard and learn their products and practices well, Mercedes-Benz has hosts a Skills Competition every 2 years where professionals from all around Southeast Asia can compete to see who is the best at their job.This year's competition saw many entrants putting fighting for top spot, and 11 out of 25 finalists were from Cycle & Carriage Berhad - the highest to represent a single dealership within the Southeast Asian region. The competition included both theory and practical challenges, ranging from general technical knowledge to specific knowledge regarding the Mercedes-Benz brand. Performance in a practical context was also judged based on safety, quality, skill, product knowledge, and organization of work. Judging was conducted by specialists from Mercedes-Benz Malaysia.With the biggest contingent of service professionals qualifying for the finals Cycle & Carriage, bagged multiple trophies in the Qualified Parts Process Specialist (QPPS), Qualified System Technician (QST), Certified Diagnostic Technician (CDT), Certified Service Advisor (CSA), and Advanced Modern Apprenticeship categories. The categories mirrored the various service professionals present at service centres serving Mercedes-Benz customers today across Peninsular and East Malaysia. The deserving winners were also presented with a medal and cash prize ranging from RM500 to RM10,000.As these professionals represent not just Cycle & Carriage but Malaysia, we can be proud that they have proven their worth in such a competitive environment.
