BMW Malaysia Provides 530e Fleet To TNB For CESPI 2018

Auto News

There's no better transport fleet for an energy conference than hybrid or electric vehicles, and if you can throw luxury into the equation then you've got a winning formula. For the upcoming Conference on the Electric Power Supply Industry 2018 (or CESPI 2018 for short), BMW has provided Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) with a fleet of 530e hybrid vehicles. It will be the official car for the event which runs from the 17th to 22nd of September 2018 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, and BMW is the official e-mobility partner for the event.

The cars were handed over at TNB's building in Bangsar, and will be used to shuttle VVIPs and the AESIEAP council members throughout the five day conference. The partnership with BMW is the first of its kind since the first CESPI in Hong Kong back in 1976, and so it's a momentous occasion for the German brand.

In addition to the showcasing of their hybrid vehicles as part of the fleet, BMW will also be showcasing their range of iPerformance vehicles, namely a new model from the i portfolio. It's the perfect time to launch a model that combines the traditional combustion engine with the future of propulsion.
