Auto News Eric | July 24, 2019 02:01 pm Days after the New Straits Times reported that Berjaya Group could be reviving the Suzuki marque here in Malaysia, Berjaya Group has denied such rumours.According to a statement issued by Berjaya Group, “BCorp wishes to clarify that this statement is not true at all. The board of directors of BCorp is also not aware of and has not deliberated on the arrangement.”So we now put the rumour to rest but don’t give up hope on Suzuki’s return to Malaysia. According to reliable sources familiar with the matter, Suzuki is poised to make a return to Malaysia, just not with Berjaya Group.Carlist.my is aware of the identity of the parties that Suzuki is in talks with but revealing it will jeopardise the on-going discussions, and the last thing that we want to do is to add more hurdles to Suzuki’s return. We definitely want to see Suzuki back in the local market and for Monster Tajima to grace the brand’s re-launch in Malaysia. Suzuki exited the Malaysian after entering a partnership with Proton back in 2015.
