Thailand has just unveiled the facelift design for the popular Honda Civic sedan.Up front, the facelifted Civic gets a new front bumper design that also features a new fog lamp surround. The finishing on the plastic panel is now smooth, as opposed to the old design which had honeycomb inserts. A piece of chrome surround can be found on the non-RS models.At the rear, the design of the tail lamps and rear bumper are maintained. Sharp observers will notice a new horizontal chrome strip in the rear bumper diffuser area.Moving to the interior, there are no noticeable changes. Honda has also introduced the Honda Sensing advanced driving assistance system, but only limited to the 1.5 Turbo RS model.The Honda Sensing suite includes adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation system, collision mitigation braking system, and automatic high-beam system.Honda's Lanewatch passenger-side blind spot detection system meanwhile is featured in 1.8 EL and 1.5 Turbo RS grades.Engine choices and outputs remain the same- a 1.8-litre naturally aspirated engine producing 141 PS and 174 Nm of torque and a turbocharged 1.5-litre engine producing 173 PS and 220 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with a CVT-type automatic transmission.A new colour called Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic was also introduced. Prices for the new Civic sedan ranges from 874,000 Thai Baht for the entry 1.8 E to 1,219,000 Thai Baht for the range-topping 1.5 Turbo RS model.
