Auto NewsAudi has unveiled the Q2 for Thai market at the Bangkok Motor Show with a base price of THB 2.299 million, as reported by our Thai sister site Autospinn.
The new model from Ingolstadt aims to capture a share of the premium compact crossover market from the BMW X1, Mini Countryman and Mercedes-Benz GLA. Up front, the Q2 receives the company’s latest design language with its bold front grille flanked by a pair of LED headlights. The rear end receives a pair of LED tail lamps too.
Moving inside, Audi’s simplistic design is evident here. A three-spoke leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel is present, with Audi’s signature circular air vents cooling the interior.Unlike the Audi TT’s digital air-conditioning controls integrated into the air vents itself, the Audi Q2 has manual controls located below.
Power is derived from a 1.4-litre TFSI turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that does 150 hp and 250 Nm that sends drive to the front wheels via the company’s seven-speed S-Tronic dual-clutch automatic. 0-100 km/h is dispatched in just 8.5 seconds.
