Home News Auto News Bangkok 2017: All-New Subaru XV – 2.0 CVT, CBU From Malaysia Bangkok 2017: All-New Subaru XV – 2.0 CVT, CBU From Malaysia Auto News Kon | November 29, 2017 09:53 pm The all-new second-generation Subaru XV has yet to be launched in here, but Malaysia-built units have already made their way to Thailand and are currently on display at the 2017 Thailand International Motor Expo. Launched globally at the Geneva Motor Show this March, the all-new XV makes a quick arrival in our region and is actually set for launch in Malaysia tomorrow. Like its predecessor, the XV is being assembled at the Tan Chong Motors Assembly (TCMA) plant in Segambut for domestic consumption and export to Thailand.Test units have been spotted on Malaysian roads over the last several months, including one sighted by our colleague Eric whilst travelling on the North-South Highway in August.As seen at the Expo, the XV is being offered to the Thai market in two trim levels, 2.0i and 2.0i-P both powered by a direct-injected 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder Boxer petrol engine with outputs of 156 PS and 198 Nm mated to Subaru’s Lineartronic CVT.
