Extensive everyday real-world driving and high-performance track evaluation are currently taking place at locations worldwide including Nürburgring, Germany, where chief engineer Matt Becker’s team is focusing their development work to ensure the broad dynamic capability required of DBX. According to Aston Martin, the DBX has delivered cornering speeds which are on par with the Vantage, while achieving braking figures greater than the marque’s Super GT, DBS Superleggera. It is said that the SUV has even been achieving sub 8-minute lap times around the Nordschleife regularly. In case you’re wondering how powerful the DBX is, it is powered by the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine as the Vantage and DB11, producing 550 PS and 700 Nm of torque. Top speed of the DBX is said to have exceeded 290 km/h. Complementing the engine is the DBX’s exhaust system which has been tuned to reflect a deep bass with increasing mid-tones, creating a very sporty note, particularly in more sporting drive modes. “The next few months will be extremely important to us, as we continue to hone the powertrain credentials and a dynamic setup that will help make this the most exciting SUV on the market,” said Matt Becker, Aston Martin’s Chief Engineer. That said, the Aston Martin DBX is all set to make its global debut this December. ✕ Let's Connect on Whatsapp We protect your personal information in compliance with the PDPA I agree with Carlist.my Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
