All-New Toyota Vios Launched In Singapore
Auto NewsBorneo Motors, Singapore’s official importer and distributor of Toyota vehicles has introduced the all-new Vios. The new Vios is essentially identical to the Yaris Ativ sold in Thailand, albeit with a larger 1.5-litre engine, as opposed to the Kingdom's Eco Car-specific 1.2-litre.
Available in two trim levels - E Grade and G Grade, the all-new Vios is powered by the same 1.5-litre Dual VVT-I four-cylinder petrol engine that does 105 bhp and 140 Nm. For the Singaporean market, the sole transmission option is a CVT-type automatic that sends drive to the front wheels.
In terms of equipment, the base Vios E gets :

- Front fog lights
- Wing mirror-mounted side turn signals
- Electric wing mirrors
- Smart Entry and Start
- Tilt & telescopic steering weeh
- Optitron speedometer with MID
- Toyota Telematics System
- 7 airbags
- ABS with EBD
- VSC, HAC, Brake Assist
- Reverse camera
- ISOFIX anchor points
Moving one level up is the Vios G, which adds :
- Daytime Running Lights (DRLs)
- 16-inch alloy wheels
- 60:40 split folding rear seats
- Steering wheel-mounted audio controls
- Auto air-conditioning
- Rear seat centre conole
- Toyota Telematics with navigation
Seven colours are available – Super White II, Silver Metallic, Gray Metallic, Attitude Black Mica, Quartz Brown Metallic, Red Mica Metallic and Dark Blue Mica Metallic.
In Singapore, the all-new Vios is priced from SGD 89,988.
Sources within Toyota Motor Thailand have hinted that the all-new Vios will eventually find its way here, possibly towards the end of 2018.
