All-New Renault Megane R.S. Now Open For Booking – 2 Variants, From RM280k

TC Euro Cars, the authorised distributor of Renault vehicles in Malaysia today previewed the all-new fourth-generation Renault Megane R.S., and also announced the pricing for the hot-hatch.

Available in two variants, the estimated price of the all-new Megane R.S. is as mentioned below:

• Renault Megane R.S. 280 Cup (MT) – RM279,888
• Renault Megane R.S. 280 Cup (EDC Auto) – RM299,888

* All prices of vehicles stated are on-the-road inclusive of SST, without insurance. There will be an additional RM1,000 for Pearl White, and RM8,000 for Orange Tonic and Liquid Yellow colour.

Powered by a new 1.8-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which produces 280 PS and 390 Nm of maximum torque, the all-new Megane R.S. comes with a choice of either a six-speed manual gearbox, or a 6-speed Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) automatic transmission.

Complementing the powertrain package is Renault’s 4Control four-wheel steering system which comes as standard, which also happens to be a first in class. Plus, there is also the Torsen limited slip differential (LSD).

The different shifters aside, both manual and automatic variants of the all-new Megane R.S. have an almost-identical list of features, which includes:

Measuring 5 mm lower than the Megane GT, the R.S. version also comes with wings that have been widened by 60 mm in front, and 45 mm at the rear compared to the GT.

Available in four exterior colour options (Diamond Black, Pearl White, Liquid Yellow, Orange Tonic), the all-new Renault Megane R.S., which is slated for an official launch later this year, comes with a three-year or 100,000km warranty (whichever comes first) and is supported by all 18 authorised Renault Service Centres in Peninsular Malaysia.

Also, the first 10 customers to book the all-new Megane R.S. before 31st May 2019 will enjoy an all-expense paid trip to France, which will include a visit to the Renault Sport facility in Dieppe, France.

While test drives will be available at Renault’s Petaling Jaya showroom only from August onwards (manual transmission only), the all-new Megane R.S. will be available for public preview at East Atrium, Mid Valley Megamall from the 24th to 28 April 2019.
