All-New Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Teased Ahead Of August Debut

Mitsubishi have released a teaser image of the third-generation Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, scheduled to be make its global debut at the 2015 Bangkok Auto Show in August.

Recently, patent images of the all-new Pajero Sport were uploaded online, giving us a glimpse into the new body-on-frame SUV. This darkened teaser image isn’t much to go on but expect Mitsubishi’s “Dynamic Shield” frontal design to be a highlight although we pretty much know what the vehicle looks like already thanks to the leaked patent images.

With underpinnings taken from the Mitsubishi Triton pickup truck, the new Pajero Sport is said to feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain with a 3.0-litre V6 engine, paired to an eight-speed electric motor and electric motor, providing full-time four-wheel drive.

For us here in Malaysia, the current Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is powered by a 2.5-litre diesel engine and is available in five- or four-speed automatic transmissions with either four-wheel drive or two-wheel drive setups.
